Day 1: Departure
Depart USA, overnight transatlantic flight.
Day 2: London
Arrive in Europe early in the morning. This evening, leave on overnight flight to JKIA Nairobi.
Day 3Nairobi
This morning arrive in Nairobi the capital city of Kenya, referred to as the green city in the sun. You are met by Ashford Tours & Travel Representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Your adventure starts this afternoon. Visit the home of Karen Blixen, the author of “Out of Africa”. It is now a National Museum. Then visit the Giraffe Manor, where you get a chance to feed the giraffes. Return back to your hotel. Hotel:-The Norfolk Hotel BB.
Day 4: Nairobi-Amboseli
Drive to Amboseli National Park at the foot of the snow –capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Famous for its large population of elephants, the park has wide variety of wild animals. Apart from game viewing you can visit the Masai people in their traditional homes – the Manyatta. Lodge: -Amboseli Serena Lodge LDBB
Day 5: Amboseli
Morning and evening game viewing alongside the magnificent snow blanketed mountain. It provides a great background for herds of elephants, giraffes, gazelle and pride of lions. The lodge provides a good pool overlooking a watering hole where different animals and birds visit. Lodge: – Amboseli Serena Lodge LDBB
Day 6: Amboseli – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast at Amboseli, drive to Lake Nakuru, well known for its splendid birdlife. Lake Nakuru is part of the shallow lakes formed on the floor of the Rift Valley. Here you’ll find a huge concentration of flamingos. Abundant fish in the lake also attract pelicans, herons, cormorants and fish eagles. There are more than 400 species of birds here. Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
After your breakfast proceed to Masai Mara. Although moderate in size, Masai Mara Game Reserve supports the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa. On the open, undulating plains, with the imposing escarpment as a backdrop, you are practically assured of sighting the ‘Big Five’ namely lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. Day 7: Masai Mara
Spend the day at Mara. The Reserve occupies the northern seven percent of the Serengeti – Mara ecosystem that extend from northern Tanzania to Kenya. The ecosystem is the annual scene of the world’s most drastic migration of wildlife. Lodge: Mara Serena lodge LDBB.
Day 11: Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast drive to Nairobi. A day room awaits you at The Norfolk Hotel. Relax in the hotel till your transfer this evening to the Airport. Overnight flight to Europe.
Day 12: Departure for USA
Arrive in Europe early in the morning. Connect USA bound flight, arrive later in the day.
